1-24 Euphoria

Euphoria

A moment sitting on my backyard deck
Wisteria hangs as bunches of grapes
A Sapsucker lands and begins to peck
A pink cloud forms a mountainous shape.

Ascribe to the Lord, this spirited earth
(In orbit and spinning in inky space),
Full of life from Him—who gives breath and birth
But to we humans: the gift of grace.

Ascribe to Him splendor and majesty,
The praise that human words can barely tell—
Who in His Word revealed morality
But more: He is our fathomless well.

Ascribe to our Lord both glory and might.
In God, the Son, and Spirit: delight.
