11-7 How Is This Possible?

How Is This Possible? *

The man was respected, stately, upright—
An earnest, inquisitive Pharisee
(Although he came not by day but by night)
To seek out the gadfly from Galilee.
Jeshua’s discourse was far beyond reach;
The “teacher of Israel” seemed asleep
As the Lord—astounded—began to teach
With wisdom this questing Jew, found too deep.

Eons have passed, and his question remains
How can someone be born when he is old? *
“Born again?”—no proposition contains
“The answer” or cliché that can be told.
I let logic and intellect fall apart
And then believe from the womb of the heart.
