11-5 How Is It . . .

How Is It With Your Soul?
—John Wesley, basic question asked at early Methodist meetings.

I know I was bought at a price;
I owe Him, and He owns me.
I know His precious grace shall suffice—
There is no discrepancy

But why is it not well with my soul?
Unbelief, doubt conspires?
Is it because I fail to uphold,
And fill all He requires?

Who I really am, and I should be—
How I believe and behave:
I struggle, in perpetuity,
Living up to all He gave.
