As I write poetry, Christian and otherwise, usually I post a shorter one for Blog reading. Here is today’s missive.

Seraphic Fire

I’m thirsty for seraphic flame

To brand my soul with holy Name—

Which constellations cannot frame.

My conviction is granite thick

But at times smokes, like rhetoric—

A glow from a smoldering wick.

My love for You feels dim and tame.

Send into me a fiery prick,

So I can light Your fervent flame.
